Transportation & Parking
The University’s campus and immediate Hyde Park neighborhood are easily navigable on foot or by bike, although many students own cars. Chicago’s extensive public transportation system in combination with University buses makes it easy to get around the city. The Chicago Transit Authority operates daytime routes throughout the neighborhood (three routes are free to students), as well as an evening express bus that goes downtown and connects to other public transportation options. The University operates free bus service in the evenings throughout the Hyde Park-Kenwood neighborhood. For more information, visit Transportation & Parking.
International Travel
The University offers international travel resources and guidance for the many members of our community—students, faculty, and staff—who travel abroad on study trips and official business. The information might also be helpful to those planning personal trips to other countries.
