Instructions to Apply
The application consists of three sections, and will require you to upload several documents. Before beginning the application, you should make sure that you have each of the required documents available and saved as Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF files, as you will not be able to save your work and return later. If you are unable to upload the required documents at this time, you may submit the application form, and then email us at email@example.com for specific instructions to upload the additional material.
Required documents for the application are:
- A personal statement describing your current academic and professional goals, as they relate to your interest in graduate study. This statement should specifically mention the programs of study at UChicago that you are interested in, and two or three of our faculty members whose work is of particular interest to you. A list of faculty members by area can be found here.
- A copy of your most recent transcript.
- Your current resume or CV.
- Two letters of recommendation. Specific instructions will be sent to your recommenders to submit a letter electronically.
All of the information submitted as part of this application to the Discover UChicago program will be available in the fall for automatic inclusion in your application for graduate study at the University of Chicago.
Deadline: The application and all supporting documents must be received by September 2, 2014.
