Financing Your MBA

U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents

There are three loan programs available to U.S. citizen and U.S. permanent resident full-time MBA students.

  1. Federal Direct Stafford Student Loan: The Federal Direct Stafford loan is available to U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents who enroll in two or more courses each quarter.
  2. Federal Direct GradPLUS Loan: Graduate/professional students can apply for the Federal Direct GradPLUS loan. The Federal Direct GradPLUS loan is a credit-based loan that is subject to the same rules and regulations as all other federal financial aid programs. The Federal Direct GradPLUS loan is used in place of the private alternative loan.
  3. Private, credit-based alternative loans: All students can apply for a private, credit-based alternative loan. Students can borrow up to the cost of attendance (which is set by the financial aid office), minus any other financial assistance. The private alternative loan is used in place of the Federal Direct GradPLUS loan.

Loan Programs for International Students

International students who are interested in a loan program must have a U.S. cosigner living in the United States. We do not offer any loan programs that waive this requirement. We encourage international students to learn more about international funding sources in their home countries.
